Skeleton Key is a poetry collection that is an exploration of Sapphic love that begins in heartbreak. This collection of poems takes readers on an emotional journey, guiding them through the grief of a breakup, pulling them back to love, and ultimately leaving them with the exhilaration of a new crush. These poems delve into the nuances of queer relationships, emphasizing the importance of reflection; the illusive complexities of love. The collection features two voices: one closely mirroring my own, and the other representing the enigmatic lover. The intention is to allow readers to step into my shoes, experiencing this love story as if it's their own. From adolescence to adulthood I’ve spent years carefully curating this manuscript. It's been a long journey of reflective work, motivated by a drive for connectivity and my wish to abolish the single story.
Skeleton key is currently on track to be released in the beginning of June 2025!
Self Publishing is not so surprisingly a costly endeavor. Here are some of the things your contributions will support.
Professional Editing
There are many stages of editing that a book must go through before publication. Due to much editing and a little help from my friends I was able to skip the first stage of editing (Editorial Assessment). This aided in decreasing the cost of edits but not by much.
Skeleton Key has gone through it's first round of editing (Developmental editing) and has 3 editing phases left.

In order to avoid formatting errors I have chosen to commission and collaborate with a local artist for the design of the cover ! The current design is not the actual cover, it is a placeholder I created!
