Dance

My journey in dance began at the age of eight, immersing myself in a diverse range of styles spanning both classical and modern disciplines, in both competitive and recreational settings. Most recently, I have expanded my exploration into the ballroom community, including the art of vogue.

Beyond performing arts, I have a profound appreciation for the fine arts. My artistic pursuits have included murals, ceramics, watercolor, shape and color theory, and mixed-media collages. One of my proudest achievements was having my work exhibited at the Crocker Art Museum in a limited showcase alongside a dear friend.

For the past 5  and 3 years respectively I have served as a "Changemaker" and West Coast Regional Group Co-Lead with the National Collaborative for Transformative Youth Policy. This role has afforded me the opportunity to engage with policymakers in the House of Representatives, participate in policy summits within federal buildings, and gain hands-on experience in legislative drafting.

I've been honored to have the opportunity to be featured on the Inspiration for You[th] podcast, through New Deal for Youth, and share insight on challenging and prevalent issues such as mental health.

At the age of 14, I discovered spoken word poetry alongside a close friend, and together, we formed a poetry duo, performing locally for years. As our creative paths evolved, we pursued individual artistic growth, but my passion for spoken word has remained unwavering. Whether performing solo or in collaboration, I continue to nurture this art form as a powerful means of expression.

Alongside my passion for social justice and advocacy, I deeply enjoy public speaking engagements. I have had the honor of addressing audiences at various protests across Sacramento, delivering a keynote at Sacramento State’s Lavender Graduation, and collaborating with organizations such as the Sacramento LGBT Center to educate and engage diverse community groups.
